PUBLIC LANDSCAPES, FUTURE RUINS

“SYMBOLS & Iconic Ruins” at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Athens, Greece

Symbols are understood as elements of public experience in people’s lives. Ruins are expanded to cover modern versions of structures, syntactically corresponding to historical fragments. City is understood as palimpsest of spatial, natural, material, historical and visual evidence. Their organization is not based on deposition and stratification, but arises through interactive, perceptual experiences of human presence and gaze on the city landscape.

Public Landscapes, Future Ruins is an audiovisual work, developed in colaboration with TTDZ Architects and Partners as part of the exhibition “SYMBOLS & Iconic Ruins” at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Athens, Greece.
SYMBOLS & Iconic Ruins, an exhibition on art and architecture in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Greece.
