V4Design

A Horizon 2020 research project exploring how existing visual and textual content, documentaries, images, and archival material can be repurposed as design inspiration for architecture and VR game development.
The platform uses 3D reconstruction, object localization, and automated aesthetics extraction to pull usable design information from visual content. The output integrates directly into existing design workflows, built as a plugin for Grasshopper3D and Unity.

Involved from the beginning: contributed to the conception and formulation of the proposal that secured EU funding, brought architectural design expertise to the research team at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and worked with technical partners and content providers through beta deployment to final platform release. The team was responsible for user requirements and platform evaluation throughout.
