Using digital, physical tools and machines to design and build spaces, objects, experiences, worlds, words and tell stories about them

About

Georgios Grigoriadis is an Architect (of things).

He uses this term with great vagueness and tries to consider Architecture as a bigger sum of things, not only building production. Architecture as a tool for critical thinking on living and the future. Drawing back to history he is intrigued by moments that redefined or proposed something that resembled a model of living. His work seeks to engage with the notions of curiosity and impact. Curiosity as the constant movement upon media, scale and disciplines. Impact as the moving force for mindful and solution entropy design for a complex world.

He is an Architect, Designer, Maker, Creative technologist, World and Word Builder, Perpetual Learner and finally, a Generalist.

Georgios is a graduate from the Master of Design (MDes) program at UC Berkeley. He holds a Diploma of Architecture and Architecture Engineering from the School of Architecture of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He was a researcher at the Innovative Environments research cluster of the same faculty, conducting research and academic related activities. George is the co-founder of the space design practice GHOST office (no place specific, 2019) and one of the founding members of the creative collective xyzzy (Thessaloniki, 2015-2018). He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 2019. Georgios was born in Thessaloniki and lived in various places around Greece. He values context awareness and adaptability.

He is currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a Lecturer at Berkeley MDes and a Design Technologist at Butlr Technologies.
